The title of this work comes from an Alan Watts quote on accepting who and where we are in life: Things are as they are. Looking out into it the universe at night, we make no comparisons between right and wrong stars, nor between well and badly arranged constellations.

This quote was a huge influence on creating this work because it’s a reflection of simplicity and how cluttered corners of the universe can sometimes make me feel uneasy or overwhelmed.
